SGB High Chrome Alloy Pump Materials for Selection
SGB place great emphasis on pump materials innovation and research and development. So far, there are several high chrome alloy pump materials available for selection, such as GLH-1 (%Cr27,equivalent to A05), GLH-81(equivalent to A61), GLH-5 and GLH-6(equivalent to A49). The high chrome alloy pump material GLH-1 is a high chromium white irons that deliver excellent wear resistance in moderate to highly corrosive environments. This alloy contain varying amounts of chromium carbide, an incredibly hard material measuring HRC58-62 hardness units which provides excellent wear resistance. This moderate chromium carbide content provides a great balance of hardness and toughness, making it effective for general purpose pumping applications. Compared with GLH-1, GLH-81 contains approximately 35% chromium by weight, resulting in a chromium carbide content of about 50% by volume. It achieves outstanding erosion resistance that makes it ideal for conditions with a broad particle size distribution, such as mill discharge slurry. The high chrome alloy pump material GLH-5 has 25% carbide for more corrosive environments, while GLH-6 has around 20% carbide and is suitable for extremely corrosive environments. For applications in which erosion and corrosion are both responsible for wear, GLH-5 and GLH-6 are frequently used in acid leaching and extraction circuits, such as those in the phosphate refineries and flue-gas desulphurization (FGD).
SGB Technical Capacity
SGB has a Municipal Level Research Center and owns a powerful research team with strong R&D ability. There are more than 120 engineers, including 30 senior- engineers in SGB. CAD is throughout the whole product development process, and at the same time SGB has introduced Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), CAPP, Computer-Aided Casting, Computer-Aided Metallographic Analysis and other software for technology management and product development. As a new and high technology enterprise, SGB owns 18 national patents and 2 National New Products, and the GLH-6 metal material developed by SGB was awarded the Third Prize of National Coal Industry Association (NCIA).
