Alumina Refinery Pump

As an important strategic material of the national economy, alumina is closely related to social progress and the improvement of people's living standards. As the main conveying equipment of alumina slurry, the performance of alumina refinery pump will directly affect the reliability of the whole alumina process and the stability of the final product.

1. Brief introduction of materials for alumina production

1) Class I: high abrasive pulp with concentration above 50%

High solid content, high caustic soda content and high viscosity. It is mainly concentrated in the stages of raw meal pulp preparation, clinker sintering, raw ore pulp preparation, AL (OH) 3 filtration and seed decomposition.

2) Class II: slurry with concentration of 20-30%

High solid content and slurry density. It is mainly concentrated in the stages of clinker dissolution, red mud separation and washing, red mud discharge, crude liquid desilication and silicon slag separation.

3) Class III: slurry in the process

The solid hardness is slightly soft and the abrasiveness is weak. The slurry is mainly secondary sludge after leaf filtration and ash after silicon slag separation.

4) Class IV: slurry with caustic content above 20%

High alkali concentration, high temperature and high requirements for corrosion resistance and cavitation performance. Mainly concentrated in the evaporation stage.

5) Class V: no solid content, no corrosive requirements, general clean water category.

2. Main pump positions and selection points in alumina production

1) Raw pulp preparation process

Main pump positions: mud pump, pulp pump, alkali liquor pump, slag slurry sewage pump, evaporation mother liquor pump, lime milk pump, etc.

Key points of type selection: high pulp concentration, high solid content and high density; Large particle size and high hardness; It is recommended to control the selected speed below 730rpm and adopt frequency conversion regulation.

2) Pressure boiling digestion process

Main pump positions: raw slurry pump, diluted slurry pump, discharge pump, red mud washing pump, slurry sewage pump, condensate pump, circulating pump, sewage pump, etc.

Key points of type selection: the concentration, solid content and density are lower than those of the original pulp preparation process. It is recommended to control the speed of type selection below 980rpm and adopt frequency conversion regulation.

3) Dilution of dissolved pulp and separation and washing of red mud

Main pump positions: underflow pump, feed pump, sewage pump, crude liquid pump, semen pump, overflow pump, etc.

Key points of type selection: most of the slurry in this section contains flocculant, with high viscosity and stuttering. It is recommended to control the selected speed below 980rpm and adopt frequency conversion regulation.

4) Seed decomposition process

Main pump positions: seed pump, heat exchanger feed pump, intermediate cooling pump, cooling water pump, underflow pump of prototype mother liquor tank, circulating pump, mother liquor pump, sewage pump, etc.

Key points of type selection: the slurry stutters. It is recommended to control the speed of type selection below 980rpm and adopt frequency conversion regulation.

5) Mother liquor evaporation and soda causticization process

Main pump positions: feed pump, mother liquor pump, underflow pump, circulating pump, condensate pump, lime milk pump, forced circulation pump, sewage pump, etc.

Key points of type selection: AH slurry of evaporation system has stutter, and slurry temperature and pH value are high. It is recommended to control the selected speed below 1480rpm and adopt frequency conversion regulation.
